The Rules

The ultimate priority for all staff, volunteers, runners, teams, fans, family and guests is to have a safe and fun event!  Every runner and team is expected to exhibit great sportsmanship and safe behavior throughout the event so that every team can have an outstanding competition.

  • All teams must have four members to participate in the competitive run.  Fun run teams may have multiples of two runners (2,4,6,8…20).  No single runners!
  • As this is a charity event, we will not be able to provide refunds if you cannot participate.
  • All teams should be uniform in their appearance. Best outfits win a prize.
  • Teams must remain on the course trails and routes at all times unless otherwise directed by event staff or for medical emergencies.
  • Teams must complete every obstacle or challenge.
  • Teams must remain together from start to finish; completing all running, every obstacle and challenge together, lending a hand whenever necessary, and each team must cross the finish line hand-in-hand.
  • Every team must follow all guidance/directions/orders given by the event staff, obstacle judges and public safety officials.
  • While on the course, if your team is running faster than another team and there is space on the trail/path to pass, you may do so by announcing to the team in front of your team that you’ll be passing on the left.
  • At some of the obstacles/challenges, it is possible that you and your team may have to wait for another team to complete the challenge.  Please be patient or be at the obstacle before anyone else gets to it – then they can wait on your team to finish.  All teams are expected to be courteous while running in this event.
  • Should an obstacle or challenge judge determine that your team has not completed an event successfully, your team may be sent back to complete the obstacle or challenge correctly.
  • All teams will have fun and be safe, that’s an order!!!
