The Few, The Proud...
The Carolina Marines

The Course

Here's the course: it should be around 5.5 miles of off and on road excitement for you and your team. For the competitive runners, there will be one surprise challenge added towards the end of the race. We're certain you'll love to talk about it after the event but you'll probably hate it during the race. (picture us providing you with a devious laugh as you read this) FYI - it's not another duck walk but that might be fun for your team right?!

Listed below are the challenges and obstacles you can expect to encounter on our course.  We've provided links to video demonstrations of as many of them as we can - just click on the challenge listed for more info.  Be prepared or be slow and get yelled at!  Be advised that these obstacles and challenges may change in order of severity depending on how many Marines we have on the course.  The more Marines we have, the tougher it will be on you.

1.10 push-ups  - just kidding, try this page. (We'll try to have some rave music going while doing these push-ups
3.Start race
4.10 yard duck walk (you can have your fingers behind your head for this exercise)
6.10 side straddle hops (most people call them jumping jacks, but this is our event and we'll call them this)

8. team tarp tube crawl (our tube should be wide enough for all of your team to go through at the same time)

32.25 yard trash sack race (each member of the team must have one leg in the team trash bag for this race)
33.25 yard wheel barrel race (team members will switch places mid-way, you don't have to do it the way they did in the video though
34.Finish - arm in arm, hand in hand, carrying each other, whatever - just make sure you and your team are connected as you cross the finish line

Camp Pendleton's World Famous Mud Run - great overview of what our run looks like except their's has a lot more land, mud pits, creeks, etc.  We do what we can and you'll have a blast!
