Who are Carolina Marines?:

Carolina Marines, officially titled as the Marine Corps Coordinating Council of Greater Charlotte, is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in the Charlotte metropolitan area.  We are a dedicated group of volunteers with a mission to support Marines and their families and promote the Marine Corps in the Charlotte area through physical fitness fundraising activities and luncheons featuring Marine speakers.

Our fundraisers are used to support Marine families - predominantly those at 4th Maintenance Battalion's Charlotte Marine Reserve Center.  We assist the Family Readiness Officer and Coordinator with deployment and welcome home parties, programs and family events during deployments, the Marine Corps Birthday Ball and we also provide emergency funds when a Marine and his/her family is in need.  We also reserve funding for the families of Marines who are injured or killed in the line of duty.

An important note:  When we do raise money, 100% is donated to help Marines and their families.  We do not have any paid staff nor are we compensated for any of our expenses as we support the events and the Marines.

Thanks for visiting our site and for your support.  Semper Fidelis!
